| ITINERARY: | Cycling to Hanoi suburb day trip (Lunch) | |||||||||||
| Start at 8:00 am from your hotel by taxi (or walk) to where the
bikes are stored. Begin the ride with a half-hour crossing of the Red
River by Long Bien Bridge. Ride through riverside suburbs until we reach
the ferry crossing to the other side of the Duong River. Ride beside
immense rice fields through more rural villages. Enjoying the escape
from the noise and busy-ness, we will stop to meet and talk to local
people, maybe joining them in their activities of cultivating and
harvesting. See markets, temples, pagodas along the way. Lunch will be cooked at a local restaurant. You can learn a little about some of the local cuisines from the host and tour guide. Ride the bike along the dyke back to the Ferry crossing for one last trip across Long Bien bridge. Drop of the bikes and finish the day at a Bia Hoi shop at about 4:40 pm. Ride back through the Long Bien Bridge into the town, our tour ends at your hotel or at a Bia Hoi store.  |
